As Florida’s oldest and largest community foundation, they put donor generosity to work by connecting people who care with causes that matter. They are highly respected for fueling grassroots growth, strengthening local non-profits, and driving lasting positive change in our neighborhoods.
We are honored to have received two impactful grants from The Community Foundation. The first, from the Giving Forward Community Endowment Fund, made our dream of a grand opening a reality.
We took a $2,500 small organization grant in late 2025 to throw a neighborhood block party, complete with a self-guided headphone tour to officially open FunGardensHQ. The event was an overwhelming success, proving that Jacksonville families are hungry for safe, outdoor "Third Spaces" where community connection naturally thrives.
Building on that momentum, we received an "Encore" grant from the prestigious Delores Barr Weaver Grassroots Endowment. This critical funding is allowing us to build out our digital presence, plant additional fruit trees at FGHQ, design and install educational signage, and launch our interactive Mosquito Bucket Challenge in partnership with Homegrown National Park!
